Claims Analyst

Position Summary

The Claims Analyst is responsible for assisting the Claims Manger, acting as a liaison between clients and carriers. The Claims Analyst also provides support to the Commercial Account Executives and Account Managers with claim related matters.

Key Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

   Receive & report claims to insurance carriers

   Follow up on reported claims as appropriate until closure

   Update claim information in agency management system in a timely manner

   Review Experience Modification Factor worksheets for accuracy and report any discrepancies as requested.

   Complete Work Comp Claim Reviews

   Complete and distribute claim status reports as requested

   Complete and distribute Premium/Loss Exhibits from loss runs as scheduled

   Send Claim Surveys to clients, distribute results and maintain files of the surveys

   Report any problems that arise with claims immediately to the Claims Manager

Professional Experience/Qualifications:

   Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in a business-related area with an insurance concentration or the equivalent
   amount of industry related experience

   Proficiency with MS Office applications

   Excellent analytical, organization and multitasking skills

   Strong work ethic and attention to detail

   Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

   Experience with Applied Epic is preferred but not required
